Project Overview

DECIBEL was tasked with transforming a space into a functional and stylish studio for playing two drum sets and hosting small rock concerts.

Located in a premium residential area, the project aimed to balance industrial design with acoustics, soundproofing, and interior aesthetics.

The client desired a space that not only looked appealing but also provided optimal acoustics for music performance and practice.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a space that met the client's vision for an industrial-style environment while also addressing acoustic and soundproofing requirements for drum sets and live performances.

Additionally, the space needed to include a bathroom, small kitchen, and custom furniture, all while maintaining the integrity of the acoustic performance and achieving the desired industrial look.

Solution

DECIBEL’s solution included a mix of acoustic and soundproofing techniques, such as double-wall construction and hidden acoustic treatments, to ensure sound isolation.

We designed and implemented a full HVAC system for proper ventilation and comfort. The interior featured industrial-style furniture and decor, complemented by custom-built furniture tailored to the space’s needs.

Acoustic balance was finely tuned to ensure optimal sound for music practice and performances.

Result

The final result was a fully functional, acoustically balanced studio that combined the best of both worlds: high-performance acoustics and industrial interior design.
