Acoustic treatment for modern office spaces

Project Overview
A returning client contacted DECIBEL with a request to provide acoustic treatment for six office spaces in Sofia. Building on a successful past collaboration, we worked closely with the client's interior designer to make sure the acoustic panels matched the visual style of the offices.
Using our experience and innovative products, we delivered a solution that improved the acoustic comfort of the spaces while also enhancing their interior appearance.
Acoustic Treatment Matching Interior Design
The goal of this project was to reduce echo and improve sound quality without changing the look of the office. The acoustic treatment had to blend naturally with the interior. This required coordination between the DECIBEL team and the client’s designer, along with custom previews to confirm the visual integration of the panels.
Interior Factors That Support a Good Office Environment
A productive office space depends on several key elements. These include good lighting, sound insulation, and workplace privacy. Proper lighting, natural and artificial, supports focus and reduces eye strain. Acoustic treatment helps limit unwanted noise and echo. Adding acoustic panels or dividers also improves privacy, helping employees stay focused and feel more comfortable at work.
Challenge
The main challenge was to design and install an acoustic treatment that met both technical and visual requirements. The solution had to improve sound absorption and reduce echo, while also fitting the client’s design vision. All work had to be completed with minimal interruption to the daily work in the offices.
Scope of Work
- Consultations with the client and interior designer
- Preparation of visual previews for design approval
- Supply and installation of Echo Wall textile acoustic panels in various thicknesses
- Execution across six office spaces with minimal disruption to work
Solution
To achieve both visual and acoustic goals, DECIBEL used Echo Wall textile acoustic panels, known for their sound-absorbing properties and soft, clean finish. Panels of different thicknesses were combined to create a 3D visual effect on the walls.
Before installation, we provided visual mockups so the client and designer could see how the panels would look in each office. After receiving approval, the installation was completed quickly and efficiently.
Result
The acoustic panels were installed across all six office spaces. The result was a noticeable improvement in sound clarity and a significant reduction in echo. The 3D panel layout added depth and character to the interiors.
The client was highly satisfied with the project. The panels integrated seamlessly into the design, and feedback from the team confirmed improved comfort and focus in the workspace.
