MUTE SYSTEM™ 33 is an innovative frameless wall soundproofing system, engineered to upgrade the acoustic insulation of existing walls in residences, offices, hotels, schools, and industrial facilities. With a slim profile of just 33 mm, it integrates easily into projects where space efficiency and high performance are equally important. Imagine working, resting, or studying in comfort while unwanted noise is kept out and privacy is fully preserved - MUTE SYSTEM™ 33 makes this possible.

How It Works

MUTE SYSTEM™ 33 applies the Mass-Spring-Mass principle, one of the most effective methods for controlling airborne noise. The dense gypsum fibreboard provides the mass, the high-density PU foam acts as the spring, and the existing wall structure serves as the second mass layer. Together, they form an engineered acoustic barrier that reduces noise in both directions, keeping outside noise out while containing sound inside the treated space.

At the core of the system are DECIBEL’s patented DClox™ anti-vibration fasteners, which minimise contact between the panel and the wall to less than 1%. This technical breakthrough reduces vibration transmission and significantly improves acoustic performance.

Proven Acoustic Results

  • Independent laboratory testing confirms insulation performance of up to 62 dB
  • Engineered for mid to high frequencies, where household activities, workplace conversations, and entertainment systems are most noticeable
  • Designed using Finite Element Modelling (FEM) for precision prediction
  • Verified by independent accredited laboratories

Certified under:

  • EN ISO 10140-2:2010 - Measurement of sound insulation of building elements
  • EN ISO 717-1:2013 - Rating of sound insulation performance

Key Specifications

  • Thickness: 33 mm
  • Dimensions: 1200 × 1000 mm
  • Weight: approx. 18 kg per panel
  • Fire resistance: B, s1-d0 (EN ISO 13501-1:2018)
  • Materials: Gypsum fibreboard + high-density PU foam

Installation Overview

  • Supplied as a ready-to-use system including panels, DClox fasteners, screws, dowels, and washers
