DB AL™ - Acoustic Louver

The DECIBEL AL® Acoustic Louvre is a compact and efficient solution designed for minimising noise in ventilation systems, generators, and industrial installations where airflow and acoustic control must coexist. Manufactured from durable galvanised steel with sound-absorbing infill, it combines great performance, weather resistance, and low installation depth. The system is ideal for façade openings, air inlets, exhaust ducts, and standalone acoustic barriers in mechanical spaces or HVAC zones.
How It Works
The DB AL™ Acoustic Louvre minimises noise from industrial and HVAC systems while maintaining efficient airflow. Each louvre consists of galvanised steel blades filled with high-density sound-absorbing material and enclosed by a perforated sheet on one side. This hybrid design combines acoustic absorption with aerodynamic performance, attenuating broadband and tonal noise without impeding ventilation or increasing static pressure.
Key Benefits
- Effective sound attenuation for ventilation and air-handling openings
- Compact structure suitable for limited installation spaces
- High airflow capacity with minimal resistance
- Durable galvanised steel body with powder-coated finish in RAL colours
- Optional aluminium construction available for specific projects
- Weather-resistant design prevents snow and rain infiltration
- Easy integration into façade openings or mechanical support frames
Installation Overview
DB AL™ louvres are installed by direct fastening or on mounting frames, adaptable to any wall, façade, or duct opening. The units can also be combined into larger acoustic barriers for outdoor mechanical areas. Their modular design enables fast assembly and consistent performance, while the powder-coated finish ensures long-term durability in both interior and exterior applications.
