How It Works

C-MUTE SYSTEM™ 33 relies on the Mass-Spring-Mass principle, one of the most effective methods of blocking airborne noise. By separating two dense layers with an insulating gap, the system drastically breaks down sound transmission paths.

Its effectiveness is enhanced through DECIBEL’s DClox™ patented fasteners, which act as vibro-insulating point connections. With less than 1% contact with the existing ceiling, they prevent noise from travelling through the structure. Independent laboratory tests and simulation tools such as Finite Element Modelling (FEM) confirm the reliability and consistency of the system’s performance.

Installation Overview

Panels are supplied with all required DClox™ fasteners, screws, dowels and washers and can be installed without specialised tools. They mount directly to ceilings and integrate with gypsum plasterboard for a smooth, professional finish.
