C-MUTE SYSTEM™ 23 is DECIBEL’s innovative solution for filtering airborne noise through ceilings without adding bulk. How It Works

The ceiling soundproofing system is based on the Mass-Spring-Mass principle, one of the most effective methods of reducing airborne noise. Two dense layers are separated by a lighter element, creating a gap that significantly weakens sound transmission.

Each panel is installed using 8 DClox™ patented fasteners, designed to minimise vibration transfer by reducing contact with the existing ceiling to less than 1%. Made from high-performance elastomers, these fasteners effectively decouple the panels from the parent ceiling.

DECIBEL validates every design with advanced Finite Element Modelling (FEM) simulations and verifies performance through independent European laboratory testing.

Installation Overview

C-MUTE SYSTEM™ panels are supplied with all necessary DClox™ fasteners, screws, dowels and washers for straightforward installation. Panels can be mounted directly onto ceilings without the need for specialised tools. Once installed, they can be finished with standard gypsum plasterboard for a smooth, seamless look.
