Project Overview
In Varna, a bank office building faced a pressing challenge: two diesel generators located right next to nearby residential cooperatives posed a risk of violating nighttime noise regulations.
Even though the generators were designed for backup use, their operation could easily disturb the peace of the surrounding community.
To avoid potential issues and guarantee compliance with regulations for night base levels, the client turned to DECIBEL for a reliable noise control solution.
Challenge
The main concern was ensuring that the powerful generators would not exceed legal noise limits during operation, especially at night when regulations are strictest.

Scope of Work
- Acoustic assessment of the site and noise levels
- Engineering of custom generator enclosures using PZP perforated metal panels
- Full production and installation of the enclosures

Solution
DECIBEL designed and built soundproofing enclosures from PZP metal perforated panels, tailored specifically to fit the two diesel generators.
The enclosures were engineered to reduce sound emissions effectively while maintaining the necessary ventilation for safe operation.
The installation was executed on time and with full attention to detail.

Noise measurements taken after installation confirmed that the soundproofing solution brought generator noise down to compliant levels, meeting the requirements.
